Texas A&M just received a prediction to do the unimaginable in 2027 class

Texas A&M football has blown every expectation out of the water so far this class, and they may be on the verge of the most unbelievable move yet.

Texas A&M football has seized the recruiting momentum for five-star offensive lineman Mark Matthews in recent days— so much so that Steve Wiltfong of Rivals has registered a prediction for the Aggies to land the Miami native, flipping his prediction from the hometown Hurricanes:

This comes in the wake of the Aggies picking up a commitment from fellow five-star offensive tackle Kennedy Brown just yesterday, showing just how much of a master class offensive line coach Adam Cushing is putting on in this cycle. Matthews has had an affinity for the Aggies for quite some time now, visiting College Station three times this spring alone.

With four Aggie offensive linemen getting drafted this past weekend, it makes all the sense in the world that high-level players at the position are beginning to flock to College Station. The Aggies are beginning to build momentum that no school has been able to do since A&M in the 2022 class.

This would be a coup tantamount to what the Aggies would have done if they had been able to pick up Lamar Brown out of Baton Rouge. The now-LSU Tiger decided to stay home eventually, but pulling a top-three player out of a location where there is a majorly dominant college program is something that hardly ever happens.

It appears right now, however, that the Aggies are poised to do just that. Texas A&M is on the verge of gaining another five-star commitment on the offensive front, giving them one of the most dominant units in the country for years to come.

Combine this with the fact that the Aggies already have three five-star defensive back commitments, and you have one of the most elite classes in the country at two of the most important position groups going forward. There's no two ways about it: Mike Elko is building a national championship-level class in 2027, and it is beginning to look more and more hopeless for teams trying to thwart his designs.
