The Texas A&M Aggies still have a lot to play for.

Following a disappointing loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Aggies still have a lot to look forward to.

Before the South Carolina game, the Aggies were in sole possession of first place. Now it's anybody's game between Georgia, Texas, LSU and Tennessee.

Here are three storylines to watch for this weekend for Texas A&M football

LSU vs Alabama is important for Aggies

The Crimson Tide are behind the Tigers by one game in the SEC. The Aggie fans should be rooting for Alabama to win this weekend.

That will be tough considering Death Valley at night is no joke.

Alabama has struggled against teams this season, and the first year under Kalen DeBoer now has some Tide fans now looking back in the direction of Nick Saban. Obviously, if that's the case, that's an overreaction considering it's his first season in the SEC.

This will be a tough one for the Tide to win. However, LSU did have problems stopping the running quarterback, Marcel Reed.

DeBoer needs to rip a page out of the Aggie playbook and get Jalen Milroe going on the ground.

Georgia vs Ole Miss game has value

The Rebels will be looking to give the Bulldogs their second loss of the season.

Georgia's loss came in late September when Alabama beat Georgia in one of the greatest games of the season.

Unlike LSU against the Aggies, Ole Miss will be playing on their home turf. Jaxson Dart and Lane Kiffin will be on the biggest stage in one of the biggest games in their respective careers. Georgia did have problems against Florida, specifically with Carson Beck.

Beck threw for 3 interceptions against the Gators. If the Rebels can force takeaways and make Beck uncomfortable, Ole Miss will have a chance to win this game.

Aggies have time to resolve running back and quarterback issues

With Le'Veon Moss out for the remainder of the season, the Aggies have to get Amari Daniels ready to go for the rest of the season.

This also gives the coaching staff time to think about the quarterback situation. Will Weigman be given the chance to start once again? Has Reed proven enough for Mike Elko to start him?

My prediction now is that Reed will at least start against New Mexico State. That doesn't mean that we still won't see Weigman throughout the rest of the season.
