Texas A&M Baseball: Tennessee Preview, How to Watch, and More
Texas A&M Hitting
Braden Shewmake has shown signs of breaking from his slump, going 6-for-16 last week with a double, a home run and three stolen bases. Despite his low batting average (.230 in conference play), he is still finding ways to produce with 12 RBIs in 15 SEC games.

Nick Chourby also had a nice bounce-back series against Alabama going 6-for-12 with five runs scored after a 1-for-11 performance against Auburn with five strikeouts. George Janca has had a hot bat in SEC play with a .328/4HRS/13RBI line. Hunter Coleman and Cole Bedford who have alternated at catcher and DH have been key cogs as well batting .294 and .333 in conference play respectively.
Wake Up Call
The three bats that A&M needs to get hot again are those of Logan Foster, Joel Davis, and Austin Homan. Foster had a hot start to the year, but has really struggled in SEC play batting .161. Hopefully he can take advantage of the weak pitching and show some of the potential he flashed earlier this year.
First baseman Joel Davis has also struggled of late with a 2-for-11 stretch against Alabama and a .200 SEC average. Senior Austin Homan was a revelation last year with a .356 batting average that placed second amongst the Aggies behind Boomer White and was able to bat above .300 in SEC play despite the better pitching. This year Homan has struggled, not just against the tougher SEC pitching, but overall with a .244 average and 37 strikeouts on the year.

This is a series that the Aggies should win with a strong possibility of earning a sweep. That would go a long way to helping the Aggies climb out of the bottom of the SEC West and put them back in contention for a conference title.
