Well, the Aggies can boast just three points from their first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff after the Texas A&M offense failed to put anything on the board in the team's slugfest of a loss to the Miami Hurricanes.

The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies hosted the No. 11 Canes in College Station, but even homefield advantage wasn't enough to get the offense going, and everyone turned to offensive coordinator Collin Klein as the scapegoat.

What might be most surprising is the fact that Texas A&M earned 326 total yards on offense, but continuously failed to actually find the end zone, which was highlighted by quarterback Marcell Reed's game-ending interception.

Collin Klein receives blunt of blame for Aggies' loss

Between lackluster play calling and failing to set up Reed for success, fans virtually tossed tomatoes at Klein (and that one fan threw eggs in the stands).

Reed threw two interceptions, which can't entirely be pinned on Klein and certainly didn't help the Aggies' offensive effort throughout the College Football Playoff matchup. Additionally, running backs Rueben Owens II and Le'Veon Moss combined for a minimal 36 yards on 14 combined carries.

Klein, of course, is leaving College Station to take a job as the Kansas State Wildcats' new head coach. Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko allowed him to stay and coach the Aggie offense in the postseason, and it clearly didn't go to plan.

Even when the game was tied 0-0 and 3-3, obviously defensively minded, Texas A&M fans were ripping into Klein as their offense continued to sputter on drive after drive. Klein repeatedly called short-yard pass attempts or runs on third and long, setting the Aggies up for failure.

The game was the first in CFP history to be scoreless at halftime, and the 10-3 final score was one of the lowest point totals since the Playoff format was implemented in 2014.

Simply put, Klein failed the Aggies, and now Texas A&M's season has come to an end as the Hurricanes move on to the quarterfinal round of the College Football Playoff.
