Texas A&M football is gearing up for their first huge test of the year against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish up in South bend, Indiana.

Ahead of that game, the head coach for the Aggies, Mike Elko, met with the media to field questions about this top-ranked matchup for Texas A&M. Before the period of questions even began, however, coach Elko decided to go ahead and set the minds of Aggie fans everywhere at ease about one of the lingering questions from over the weekend.

All signs have been positive for Marcel Reed since he had to leave the game against Utah State this past Saturday. The Aggie quarterback took a hard hit after he had already gone to the ground, and he was seen to by trainers before heading to the injury tentβ€” and then, the locker room.

Since that point, though, it's all been positive news. Mike Elko said in the immediate aftermath of the game that Reed would be good to go, and so did Marcel's father when he chimed in on Twitter later on that same day.

Now, we've gotten yet another confirmation that Marcel will be ready to goβ€” as well as a positive update on one more Aggie player who missed the end of the game against Utah State.

While the exact nature of these injuries has not yet been released, it's now confirmed that both Marcel Reed and Trey Zuhn will be good to go against the Fighting Irish.

This confirmation is a huge relief for Aggie fans, as those two are part and parcel of an offense that will need to be operating at top efficiency for this upcoming game. The defense for the Fighting Irish is no joke, so this Aggie squad will have to bring their A-game.

The status of Jordan Shaw and Rueben Fatheree is still yet up in the air, but getting both of those guys back as well would mean that Texas A&M is as close to full strength as they ever have been this year. Hopefully, we see the full squad for the Aggies in this one.
