Texas A&M Aggies news: More recruits set to announce soon as Aggie hot streak cools slightly

Here's everything you need to know about your Texas A&M Aggies for today, June 28, 2025.

Texas A&M setting up for massive recruiting July

Yet another Texas A&M target has announced his commitment date— and yes, it's in July. South Carolina safety Tamarion Watkins is down to the home state Gamecocks and the Aggies, and he will be making his decision public on July 14.

Here's just a sampling of the announcements that Aggie fans will be closely tracking during the month of July:

  • Da’Quives Beck, July 1
  • Tank King, July 4
  • Bryce Perry-Wright, July 4
  • Ethan “Boobie” Feaster, July 4
  • John Turntine, July 4
  • Lamar Brown, July 10
  • Tamarion Watkins, July 14
  • Tylan Wilson, July 18

That's quite a lot of dominos to be falling in a short period. Talk about a run that could make or break the hopes that the Aggies have of pulling in the top class this year! If most of these go A&M's way, then they have a real shot at the number one overall ranking.

Texas A&M cools off slightly on trail

The Aggies have been on a real heater, but they missed out on prospects on back to back days. OL Aaron Thomas pledged to the Buckeyes over the Ags, and then the next day, OL Drew Evers made his verbal commitment to SMU.

The Ags still have a great OL class going with Avery Morcho, Zaden Krempin, and Samuel Roseborough, with still more targets yet to announce. However, this was no doubt a slight slowing of the massive momentum they had.

Aggies battling for nation's top WR, LSU commit

National recruiting analysts have not been shy about the Aggies' chances with top overall WR Tristen Keys, and neither has Keys himself. Tom Loy of 247 recently supplied an explosive quote about the Aggies' ability to land Keys, and in an interview, the LSU commit was clearly high on the Ags.

This would be a major coup if the Aggies can pull it off. There's some momentum building here towards that, but still a long way yet to go.

The long-awaited title is finally here, and the Aggies are a top-10 team in the overall ratings. The Aggies are one of the most balanced teams, both in terms of offense/defense splits and the push/pull of transfers and homegrown talent.

The Aggies will no doubt see their rating increase even more as the season goes on. This year could be special for the Ags, and I can't wait to see it happen.
