Texas A&M's predicted starting lineup on offense should terrify SEC opponents

Texas A&M has a chance to improve on a year in which they took a massive step on this side of the ball with another one in 2026.

Texas A&M brings a bevy of talent into the 2026 season on the offensive side of the ball, both homegrown and via the transfer portal. Mike Elko and this staff did a great job of addressing their needs from the ranks of the transfers, and that should show up in this prediction.

There are a few positions that are uncontested, of course, but there are a few that may be surprising to fans. Let's jump in and see how the lineup should look for the Aggies when they take the field against Missouri State on September 5.

Predicting starting lineup for Texas A&M football's offense in 2026

Quarterback: Marcel Reed

Reed returns as one of the SEC's most experienced starters and new offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins has promised to unlock his potential at a high level with his spin on the Aggies' system. Reed's legs may be even more of a factor this year than last, and if he can begin to take what the defense gives him as he grows in this system, then he could take the Aggies to the next level.

Running Back: Jamarion Morrow

This is a bit of a daring pick, given former five-star Rueben Owens is the most experienced guy in the room with the departure of Le'Veon Moss, Amari Daniels, and EJ Smith. However, Morrow has already looked more dynamic than Owens even with such little time on the field under his belt, and he's been getting a lot of hype this spring. Just watch his tape from the spring game if you don't believe me.

Center: Mark Nabou

The most experienced offensive lineman on the team, it's hard to imagine Nabou not getting the nod here. He figured in prominently to each of the last three years with this unit, despite an injury in week one in 2024. He'll provide some steadiness to a unit that is undergoing a lot of change.

Guard: Ashton Funk

One of the young guns on this team, Funk has seen some time on the interior in mop-up duty in several games. Now in his third year, it's time for the former four-star to step up and take his place among the maroon goons in fullness. He's got a lot of potential, and we should see that start to blossom this year.

Guard: Robert Bourdon

It was hard to decide whether to place Bourdon at guard or tackle, but I think every Aggie fan knows he will contribute in some way. A late pickup in the 2024 cycle, Bourdon was the "extra man" in big lineups for the Aggie offensive line last year. He'll have a full-time spot somewhere in 2026.

Tackle: Tyree Adams

The LSU transfer missed part of last season with injury, but he was regarded highly as a pass protector in particular when he was on the field in 2025. Under the tutelage of Adam Cushing, he should be a big contributor for the Aggies in this upcoming season.

Tackle: Wilkin Formby

Formby is already divisive without having played a down for the Aggies, with some pretty skeptical of last year's tape in Crimson and White. However, if you clean his technique up, there's a guy there that can log some solid snaps for the Aggies in 2026— but that's a big if.

Wide Receiver: Isaiah Horton

The other Alabama transfer here, Horton is no doubt going to be a breakout star for the Aggies in the upcoming year. His spring game was the stuff of legend, and only served to heighten his hype for the maroon and white this year— he'll put up some big numbers this season. Watch out for true freshman Aaron Gregory, too.

Wide Receiver: Mario Craver

Another guy that will put up some big numbers wears no. 1 for the Aggies. Craver was heralded as a transfer, but even the adulation he did get in the previous preseason proved to be too little, as he outpaced every prediction. We won't make that mistake this year: Craver's presence will help take this Aggie offense to a championship level.

Wide Receiver: Ashton Bethel-Roman

ABR came on in a big way at the end of the previous season, and he'll continue that breakout into this upcoming year. It was a tough decision between he and Terry Bussey, and I think we see some solid rotation between the two, but I'm giving ABR the nod as the starter.

Tight End: Houston Thomas

If there's a position to be somewhat worried about, it might be tight end. If Thomas can excel as a blocker, he's perfect for the position; otherwise, there might be heartache and dissatisfaction the whole year on the part of the fanbase. I like the College Station local to get the starting nod when all is said and done, though.
