SEC teams should fear Texas A&M basketball's exceptional tournament streak

The Aggies should be comfortable going into the SEC tournament with a streak that no other SEC team can claim.

It was a comeback week for the Texas A&M Aggies basketball team, With wins against number one Auburn and rival LSU, the Aggies roared up eight spots to the number 14 team in the country.

Now, it's SEC tournament time. As ESPN's Jay Bilas said earlier this season, the SEC tournament trophy could well be a harder trophy to win than the actual national championship. As tough and true as that might be, the Aggies still got to see the gauntlet of the March Madness tournament, with plenty of non-SEC teams still on championship watch.

Texas A&M's SEC Semifinals streak should instill fear in rest of SEC

Luke Evangelist reminds us that the Aggies are the only team in the SEC to have made the semifinals in three straight seasons, with no other school having more than one semifinal appearance over the last three seasons.

This is a great streak to have with a veteran team like the Aggies. While the SEC is tougher this season compared to the previous two, this does show some good mojo that the Aggies are already coming in with.

It was revealed that the Aggies are already going to be busy trying to get revenge, either against the Texas or Vanderbilt.

The Aggies had Texas down the drain, but allowed a furious comeback by the Longhorns to eventually lose in Austin. Vanderbilt was a different story, as Texas A&M was going through their worst stretch of the season, and didn't really keep up with Vanderbilt until arguably the longest final 60 seconds that anyone has ever seen in a basketball game.

The Aggies have seen the best of the SEC this season, with a much needed win against Auburn, the Ags have proven that they can stick in a tough battle with Tennessee, with just one or two shots being the real difference maker in that one.
